General Paediatrician

Dr Daniel Peyton is a paediatrician, PhD candidate and health informatics trainee. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery in 2009, Master of Public Health in 2017, was a Fellow at the Centre for Community Child Health in 2017 and was awarded his specialist fellowship in General Paediatrics in 2019.

Dr Daniel Peyton is a general paediatrician at Geelong Children’s Clinic and Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-operative. Geelong Children’s Clinic is located at Epworth Hospital in Waurn Ponds.

Dr Daniel Peyton has a special interest in behavioural and emotional problems in children. He has worked in Geelong since 2013, and now spends his time split between clinic, neonatal care and research. As a PhD candidate, he is researching behavioural and emotional problems in children, health services, parenting and digital health at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and the University of Melbourne.

He values holistic, evidence-informed care for children and their families.

He is accepting new patient bookings from January 2021 at the Geelong Children’s Clinic, for any of the following problems:

  • Sleep disturbance
  • Irritable babies
  • Acute or chronic medical concerns
